MAC address Identity on NAS

Hi Team

Back up files to Qnap NAS default store filenames as the MAC address of each Camera.

Process Tree: Server Settings, Storage management, Storage Locations.

Is there anyway to default store to a camera file name so we dont need to do an external translation for the client. I assume if we change the File name the system will just recreate MAC addresses on the next schedule.

  Hi Glen,

  Your assumption is correct. Nx will create the new folder again if you change the name of archive folders.
  The reason is obvious -  Nx needs to make sure that it can find the correct path while writing or reading the footage. So the folder name must be unique. The device name is easy to modify or duplicate, and it will cause many problems to the software. 
  
  Moreover, customers are able to view the footage or export it via the desktop client. Most of the time, a common user should not need to reach the footage folder and find the corresponding footage there.
