Hi There, I’m just wondering if you have access to firmware for the auto tracking on this particular PTZ. I really need this feature on the NX witness system. The firmware I’m after is SD49225XA-HNR AUTO TRACKING FIRMWARE - 2.800.1341000.0.R, Build Date: 2020-03-12 Thank you

  Hi Daniel Francis,

  I don't know if Dahua has auto tracking firmware available, but you could use a 3rd party application for such features, like the Object Tracker software of VCA Technologies.

  Maybe Fredrik Ahlsen can share his experience. He is a reseller of both Dahua, VCA Technology, and Network Optix.

  Hi.

  The latest firmware for that camera is available here:
  https://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/All-Products/PTZ-Cameras/WizSense-Series/SD4/2MP/SD49225XA-HNR

  Use the tabs under the product description and navigate to Downloads > Firmware.

  I do not know this model, we always use the 5 series and up for PTZ cameras.
  So I do not know for sure if this model supports auto tracking.
  
  But if it does you should find it as an option under each IVS rule.
  So that the PTZ will auto track any object that trigger a rule for xx seconds.
  This features runs on the camera and for auto tracking there is no interaction with Nx at all.
  
  Here you can see a rule that will make the PTZ auto track any human for max 30 seconds when they cross the tripwire.

  Hi Fredrik,

  Thank you for all that information very helpful. However reading some online forums I am being told it needs to be a certain firmware for auto tracking to be available.

  I have the latest firmware but I’m being told that the auto tracking is removed with the latest firmware.

  I’m chasing that exact firmware or previous versions if you could please help me out I’ve exhausted all my resources.

  There are several Videos online with the part number I have with videos of auto tracking but says that you require the firmware so searching high and low to try and source this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yLWwIoXIY4w
