Associate audio with video stream
AnsweredA group of Casinos we are working with need to be able to associate audio stream coming from an audio device (microphone) with a video device (camera) while surveilling in real-time, analysing the recording or exporting data (given the specific and the nature of the surveillance in this industry).
An example will be to pick up a microphone (or multiple) at one of the tables and also select a camera (or multiple) that is surveilling that table (from different directions in case of multiple) and not necessarily installed next to the table
Can this be done?

Hi @...,
In theory this should be possible, but it would require some prerequisites and the number of variables should be eliminated as much as possible since there should be a logic between microphone and camera.
- The cameras should be connected to the applicable camera.
- The microphone should create an event in some way. This could be a physical button, a reed contact, a mercury contact, or whatever that triggers and event, that can be connected to a certain camera source or multiple camera sources.
If the microphone, can't be connected, you also could use the Axis P8221 I/O device, to which you can connect a microphone, but also physical contacts that trigger the pickup and/or use of the microphone.
With such events it is possible to link them to one or multiple actions.
I think, it is best if you reach out to your local authorized Nx Witness reseller to discuss these project requirements.
