Run NX Witness server in QNAP NAS

Hi all,

 

I have a qnap nas and wanted to know if it's possible to run the nxwitness server from the nas.

I have 15+ camera's (Hik vision) i'm going to use.
The thing is i want to login via the internet on the nap and manage the camera's directly from there.

Is there someone that has a step by step description on how to do that?
any help would be appreciated!

  Hi @...,

  We are aware there are plenty of such requests, but they all have their differences that might or might not make it possible to use Nx Witness on your preferred platform. 

  We have to draw a line somewhere, since we do not have the resources to test Nx for all platforms and without proper testing, we just can't support it, although it is reasonable to expect that it will work on the majority of platforms. 

  I hope this clarified a bit why we have such limitations.

  For QNAP, you have the option to run Docker, more about Nx in Docker can be found HERE.
