Hello Norman,

Police need access to government sites. For this, they have a SSL certificate to add on the web browser.
But we can't in the NxClient,


I need a solution to solve this problem ...


Because I told my client that it was possible to do it and now he is asking me for it ... It's a huge time saver for them to be able to do this in Nx and it's something that really attracts.

    I checked, currently you cannot change the certificate for the in-client web browser, only the certificate of the server.

    I will submit a feature request for our dev team, so they can investigate the possibilities, how many resources it would require and when and if we can deliver such feature.

    While we evaluating and estimating this feature..
    can you elaborate please, what specific scenario do you have? What are those government sites, why do you need them inside Nx?
    How do you use them now?

    My clients, the police use these government sites to search for cars, license plates in the French database.
    This allows them to find out who owns the license plate, a car or other vehicle.
     
    If they can access these sites, it allows them to view live CCTV cameras and to be able to search in parallel directly in the in-client Nx web browser.
     
    Currently, they have to open the website on one screen, and on another Nx. This is not an optimal use for them. And I had told my customers that it was possible to do it in Nx and it was very interesting for them and especially a saving of time.

    They have a certificate to install on their browser that authorizes them to access these government sites.
    It is therefore necessary to install it in the in-client Nx web browser.

    This feature is designed now, but there is no solid ETA. I'll leave an update here if there will be any news.

    Small update.

    We have investigated the possibilities and unfortunately we aren't able to add this in the upcoming release since we need to change the framework of the current browser. We will try to achieve this in a future release, but don't have solid release date at this moment.

    Hi Jordan,

    It seems that the solution is clear, but due to limited resources we had to postpone the feature for a future release, but don't have solid release date at this moment.

    Do you have any release date now ?
    In France all my police customer cant use his system directly in Nx without this..

    Providing a date is useless when I am certain the release date won't be met, therefore I can't provide you any reasonable date.

    The current status is that it should be part of the 4.3 release, but since that is still far away, no hard promises can be given.
