Hi guys,

just wondering if anyone integrated so far any body-worn cameras and if so any feedback will be much appreciated.

Hi john skarakis,

Thanks for your question. At the moment (Nx Witness v4.1.0), we provide the "offline" virtual camera, so you would be able to import the recording manually (or using the API) to Nx mediaserver.

For Live one (meaning that you have liveview, connecting via WIFI..etc.), we have not yet integrated any Body-worn camera.
As an alternative, you could find some models which are capable to work under ONVIF protocol, or the cameras are able to stream the video out via RTSP protocol.

Some models/brands are considering to integrate, but it is still in technical debates and scope design stage.
Likely we will have a clear picture later. So far, an ONVIF compatible device or RTSP-stream device would be the best option.

Body-worn cameras that seamlessly and autonomously upload to the server still seem to be a gap in the market.
