20 Plus existing Cameras needing new IP's - anyway to keep existing camera and just change ip ?
AnsweredHello,
I have 20 + existing cameras I need to change the ip addresses as they are moving to another APN. This with result in the camera having a new ip addresses.
I have over 100 existing PTZ locations defined and I don't want to spend hours re adding them.
Is there anyway yet to change the existing added camera with a new IP ?
Cheers

Hi David,
There's no complicated steps required for this case, and you don't need to take times with camera re-added.
The IP of camera will be updated automatically If you enabled the auto-discovery feature under System Administration menu.
Feel free to leave your comment if you have further question.
Thank you.

Hi,
I added the camera with its new ip address after the apn change and didn’t delete the existing camera (if that makes sense).
Anyway the camera picked up the new ip address and keep the ptz presents , so that’s fantastic.
22 more to go
Cheers

IP addresses don't seem to be updating automatically for us. How do I fix this?

Manually adding the cameras fixed them, but if the cameras are using dhcp and they change on a reboot this won't work well
