    Hi Norman

In the first part of the article i can understand that it refer to desktop client in order to get live view and playback, right?

What are the requirements just to have NX server on VM?

    with no live view/playback.

    Thanks

    HI @...,

It applies to the client and the server application, but the actual performance varies per application you use for the VM and the host OS and the OS used in the VM and off course the number of devices connected to the server application in the VM.

It is difficult to provide hard numbers due to the variables.

Until now, for me it suffices to use 2 cores and 4 GB RAM and 50 GB storage. I use Ubuntu Desktop as my main OS, VirtualBox as the VM application and Ubuntu Server as my VM OS. In general, I use external storage (NAS) for the data storage. My CPU is an i7, but I have used old i5 CPUs as well with similar result, but always quad-cores.

When using Windows as the main OS and/or the VM OS more RAM is likely needed and at least 100 GB storage due to the update mechanism of Windows.
