    Hi Miguel,

I see two separate requests here.

    1) Allow to create a zoom-window without a parent camera.

Actually, fisheye cameras already work this way. You can place a camera on the layout, zoom and rotate it to a desired position and save in this state.
in the future (more that a year from now on) we're planning to introduce similar digital zoom mechanism for regular cameras as well.

    2) Restrict user from changing the camera's zoom state and position

That's interesting, I see how it can be applied. We currently didn't have any plans or requests to do so, but I'll keep it in mind for the future development of user permissions.

I understand that what you proposing relies on the fact that user's can't control zoom window size and position from inside the zoom window, and while it has certain advantages it also causes many complaints.
In the future we are going to allow users to control zoom windows from inside (if they'll have the corresponding permission).

    Hi Miguel Câmara,

For the clarification of the first request, I did a quick screen capture to get the whole idea.

    Hi Norman and @...,

That's what I also tried, but a user even without the option "User Input: PTZ, Device Output, etc..." can still control the Fisheye Mode and the PTZ of the corrected view.

The Fisheye controls should also be under the "User Input:..." option ,or there should be a more detailed/separated options for user inputs like these.

    Hi Miguel Câmara,

Thank you for the feedback. I get your point and therefore I have created an internal feedback form, but I also see use case where people still would like to control the fisheye cameras and in order to keep the software simple to use and configure we have to think and discuss how and if we can implement this request. I also want to be honest to inform you that I do not expect any changes soon.
