'Wartermark Check' Function
AnsweredHello~ I am Seung-cheol Song, a salesperson of Daekyo CNS, an OEM reseller in Korea.
We are doing business in Korea under the name of VIVEex.
While I was checking the function of VIVEex, I was curious about the watermark check function.
I understand that when the recorded video is exported, it is a function to check whether the video has been forged or falsified.
I know there are three consequences when I execute this function.
‘Watermark Matched’, ‘Invalid watermark’, ‘Watermark not found’
I checked ‘Matched’ and ‘Not Found’.

But, ‘Invalid watermark’ could not be confirmed because the symptoms could not be reproduced.
To check this, I edited and checked the exported video in various ways by using video editing S/W(Animotica).
I tried to insert a part of other video, add specific effects to the video, add text boxes, and so on.
If I check the watermark of these edited videos, I'll get the results of all ‘Not found’
I want to see ‘Invalid wartermark’.
How can I see it?
Let me know how to do.
I am trying to acquire GS certification in Korea now.
GS certification is short for Good Software, which guarantees quality.
I have to show and explain the watermark function directly to the person in charge of the certification test, but I can't show and explain it.
Please tell me more about it.

Hi @...,
Did you reindex the archive before checking the watermark?
If no watermark is found, the metadata is lost and it can't be displayed and show 'Not found'. |
If metadata is present, but the videodata is modified, the Watermark will show the 'Invalid Watermark.0 -
Hi, Norman Graafsma.
I didn't reindex the archive before checking the watermark.
I exported a portion of the recording, and I checked the watermark with the video.
Then, The result "the watermark matched" came out.
After editing the exported video with a video editing program, I checked the watermark.
Then the result "Watermark not found" came out.
If the exported video is edited, will the metadata be lost?
So how can I modify videodata without losing metadata?
Tell me how.0 -
Hi @...,
I only can make assumptions, so I assume the video editing program remove the metadata which is happening with nearly all editing applications and uses its own and in that way Watermark not found is expected.
