    Hi @...,

    Due to the fact that it all works fine on Wifi and has issues with the mobile connection, I'm pretty confident Vodafone Australia is using CGNAT which has it limitations for such connections. 

    Before we start troubleshooting, can you confirm which version and build your Nx Mobile app is running and also the version and build number of the Nx Server Application? In both cases it should be the latest.  

    The quick fix would be to request Vodafone to assign as dedicated public IP for your account.

    Hi @...,

    Can you please check the build number once more. 4.1.0.31400 isn't a version and build of Nx Witness. 
    The latest build of Nx Witness is 4.1.0.31398. The latest build for Nx Mobile is 20.2.31369. 

    Could you please use 4.1.0.31398 and try again? You can obtain this version via the customer portal (my.networkoptix.com) or your reseller.

    Hi, i am also unable to connect  via the mobile app!

    The system is located in the UK & my mobile carrier is O2

    The server build is 4.1.0.31398

    Mobile ios app build 20.2.31369

    I'am able to connect through the mobile app on wifi & also using my vpn on 4g

    If i tether my laptop to my phones 4g connection i am able to connect fine on the desktop client

     

    Strange that when i first launch the mobile app on 4g it has a red cross by the system.

     

    After a few seconds the cloud symbol turns blue with an unreachable notice.

    I asked  a user of the system who is currently in France, on a different carrier to attempt to connect & they are having the same problem.

    Able to connect on wifi but not 4g

    Here is a sanitised section of the server log when they attempt to connect.

    Please download THIS python script and run it on your phone with the mobile connection (the one that fails) and share the output. 

    To run a python script on your smartphone you can use PyDroid3 on Android and Pythonista on iOS. 

    If you like, you can add me as administrator to the system and I can investigate it myself and add our cloud team as well. 
    Just let me know and I will email you, so you have my email to do this.

    I've found ssue I'm facing is to do with Vodafone NZ and AU....have been told a fix is coming in September

    Sorry that version I sent is Wave, I use both wave and NX.
    This is a beta of Wave and has fixed issue for me... haven't found the one for NX yet https://beta.networkoptix.com/beta-builds/hanwha/31571/index.html

    Please try THIS Nx Mobile custom version and provide feedback if this resolved the issue. 
    If this custom version doesn't resolve the issue, please let us know and provide the output of the Python script I shared earlier. 

    Ps. If you do not have any issues, please do not use the custom build, since it is less tested as the released versions and issues may occur.

    Hi Norman,

     

    we have the same problem with Vodafone in Germany. But only on Vodafone mobile phones. Vodafone GigaCube is working fine.

    Mobile Version (20.2.31369) and VMS (4.1.0.31398).

    Unfortunately I cannot install the custom IPA. It is located on my iPhone X but upon opening it says "NX Witness cannot be installed. Please try again later".

    Tried on two iPhone X.

    Do you have a hint on how to install it correctly?
