Hanwha AI camera on Wisenet WAVE 4.1

Recently updated my Wisenet WAVE demo system to 4.1, great guys at Hanwha sent me over the new PNO-A8081R AI camera....camera works great, very impressed with the object detection. Had no issues sending the detection results into Milestone and Genetec however am not getting metadata in WAVE aside from general "vehicle tracking, person tracking, face tracking, etc". 

While the camera does in fact identify vehicle color, type, etc that metadata does not seem to be recognized by WAVE and cannot be searched for. Anyone try this yet? The plugin can be configured for this camera as it should be from the camera settings tab and the regular IVA's work with no problem. Spoken with my contacts at Hanwha and they are stumped too. Had me clear the analytics data from the storage drives and a couple other things but no luck.

  Hi Gray,

  The function is supported indeed by WAVE and Nx Witness.
  One note though, sometimes, the issue was the camera not sending such metadata and/or the metadata coming late for some reasons from camera firmware. Also FYI, we did this integration via the native API, so ideally, WAVE should be able to receive every metadata, but unfortunately sometimes it is not that easy.

   

  The "Best shot" options would be enabled the function on the "Object tracking" section of the Plugin settings under System Administration. Also sometimes the camera requires some period of time to properly identify the object, ex: 30 seconds. However, under such tough situation, you would still able find the metadata later while the metadata is sent from the camera to WAVE, Nx/WAVE will save this data and will make it available for the search.

   

  At the moment, it is suggested you can contact Hanwha tech team to help you confirm the camera was properly sending the notification to WAVE via the native API. We don't know how milestone or genetec integrate with the camera. But we can confirm that the integration is through the official API and confirmed by Hanwha tech team.
