Video Stream API request with dewarped image
AnsweredThis is probably not supported as I cannot find any reference to it on the API documentation.
If it is not supported yet, feel free to move this top to Feature Requests.
Could we get a video HTTP or RTSP Stream from a Fisheye camera with some fisheye dewarp applied to it?
It would need a request to have some parameters for the dewarp function, something like:
http://<server_ip>:<port>/media/12AB42FD5912.webm?fisheye_dewarp=true&x_position=300&y_position=200&zoom=10

Hi Miguel Câmara,
Great move, in this way our product team will be aware of this request.

Gentlemen,
Server-side dewarping is unlikely to appear in the software since the feature would be too resource demanding.
It has been already discussed and considered several times, e.g. in terms of providing the dewarped video for the mobile clients. Still was never approved for the road map.
Even powerful machines equipped with modern i7s will unlikely be able to maintain at least 2-4 such videos in full resolution.
Please don't be surprised this won't be implemented until some significant technology leap happens.
