    Are all server settings adopted?

What else needs to be done?

Can we remove the old server from the system after completing the following steps?

How to Add a Server to an Existing System

    • Click on the New Server tile.

    • On the Get Started with Nx Witness dialog choose Add to Existing System

    • In the dialog put the IP Address or URL (if using Dynamic DNS, e.g. https://demo.networkoptix.com:7001) of the System you would like to add this Server to.

    • Enter the Owner username and password for the System you are adding this Server to and press Next. When the Server has been successfully added to an Existing System you will see a confirmation message.

    Hello Sir,

May I double confirm your requirement before providing the suggestion:
    1. You would like to remove the old server from the system, and discard the old machine as well.
    2. Are two machine using the same operating system?

    Thanks.

    1. Yes we want to discard the old machine.

    2. No the Old Mashine ist an ARM (NX1) and the new Mashine an x86 based system

    3. ARM is an NX witness 3 System and X86 is an NX Witness 4 system

    Hi Sir,

I will suggest you to follow the steps as below:

    1. Upgrade your Nx1 to 4.0(Better to use the same version/build with your new server) and backup the system database from System Administration > Create backup
    2. Backup the data (e.g. server database, archive, custom certificate) if it's required.
    3. Copy your license information and deactivate the license of Nx1
    4. In new server, choose to setup a New Server and finish the initialization for the new system
    5. Restore the system database from System Administration > Restore from Backup...
    6. Activate the license on new Nx system
    7. Stop the Nx service on the new server
    8. Restore other data(e.g. server database, archive, custom certificate)
    9. Start the Nx service on the new server, and check all the data has been restored successfully
    10. Enable camera recording

Let me know if you have more questions.Thank you.
