PTZ Support for Hikvision DS-2DE4425IW-DE

Hi,

I am enquiring if Hikvision DS-2DE4425IW-DE PTZ feature is supported.

I did find it in http://ipvd.networkoptix.com/ and it did say 'no' support for PTZ. But I am not quite sure if that is accurate. The camera is very popular so I want to get a second opinion.

  Hi Ahmed,

  The IPVD list reveals the capabilities of each camera that is at least 3 times connected to 3 different Nx Witness systems.

  If a feature isn't listed but which it obviously has, it is most likely a firmware issue. 

  That being said, it is most unlikely that any ordinary Hikvision PTZ camera won't work in Nx Witness. 
  I would check if there is a newer firmware available and check it in Nx Witness to see if it works. 

  If you can't make it work, please let us know and we will see if we can fix it for you. 
  If that is the case, we need remote access and need the camera forwarded. I needed, I will provide you with an email address to which you can share such sensitive information.

  Hi Norman,

  Thank you so much for your quick response! I really do appreciate it!

  I did further research and compared it with another Hikvision PTZ which has PTZ support with Nx. I found a difference in the API section between the two which might be relevant to the discussion.

  A) The camera that we interested in and I presented earlier (DS-2DE4425IW-DE) -> datasheet

  

  

   

   B) The other is (DS-2DE4225IW-DE) -> datasheet

  

  

   

  Before going any further, by looking at the datasheets, could this be a decisive point?

  If not, I am happy to go over to the vendor's office and try testing it with Nx. And if our tests fail, I will purchase one, bring it back to our office, hook it up and provide you access.

  Kindly provide me with that email address to which I could provide you access details.

  Based on the datasheets, and in particular, the Onvif part, makes it very, very unlikely that the camera can't be controlled in Nx Witness.

  It's official! Hikvision DS-2DE4425IW-DE was tested with NX and PTZ feature works.
