Audio visualization and "noise search"
AnsweredA few small feature requests:
(1). It would be great if there was some sort of visual feedback for audio. It could be an additional information toggle to hide or display. But to show a simple overlaid waveform for camera's with audio would be very helpful. There is currently no way to visually see if a section has audio, or that the audio is working for the camera.
(2). It would also be great if there was a similar search feature to motion detection, but where you could show when audio was detected, or more specifically when audio was over a certain threshold.
(3). Also if there was a way to add an audio RTSP stream to a network camera, that would be great for working with networked mics and audio I/O devices

Great feedback, thank you!

Hi Luke McFadden,
Regarding your requests;
- In general there is noise on the channel, so if you turn up the volume you should be able to hear noise that the mic picks up. After you set the volume to a normal level, there are a lot of cameras that can create an event based on audio (type of audio, volume of audio, etc) that can be received as a Generic event or Analytics Event (Axis, Dahua Hikvision, Hanwha, etc) and it you set the action to Notification it will show in the grid when the camera is displayed and/or on the right side in the notification panel.
- This could be done by setting up the event as mentioned above, except setting Bookmark as the action.
- As mentioned under 1 and 2, but adding the audio source rule (currently only the Axis audio devices can be used for this application) with the applicable camera(s).
