Hi,

We use Davantis Analyttic Detection systems alongside our NVRs and I wondered if any of you guys had used these with NX Witness for alerts etc and how you enabled them

  Hi Danny, 

  I don't have real-life experience with the Davantis solutions, but I spoke to a Davantis sales rep last year and he told me that Davantis was capable of sending HTTP events in case of an event. These can be received as a Generic Event in Nx Witness and any action can be assigned to it. 

  But maybe someone is reading this and can share some real-life experience with us here.

  Hi Norman, Yes indeed it can send HTTP requests through. The issue I was having when I tried is that the Davantis is sending a GET request to the server xx.xxx.xxx.xx:7001 but when I checked with Wireshark NX Witness was just sending back the HTTP web page as a response. The Davantis is not front-facing configurable to what it sends, only where it sends it.
