Enhance the Event list in the Notification Panel
Not plannedHello Nx Community,
I send Generic Events to Nx Witness for an integration I created. Love the API's!
In validating my integration I found that the Event list in the Notification Panel could be improved upon.
Usecase:
I trigger a few "actions" for each Generic Event that I generate. I expected that the "Notification Panel" only shows each Generic Event once when it was generated. It turns out after further digging that it is not true - it repeats the same Generic Event for each "event/action" combination that was triggered.
The following 5 "actions" are carried out for each of my Generic Events:
- Bookmark.
- Camera Record.
- Do HTTP Request (sends a notification to my Pushover.net account)
- Notification.
- Text Overlay.
The list on the right is pretty much of no use for validation. At first I thought that my Integration had gone bezerk. The Event Log is very useful though.
Enhancement Idea
Enhance the Event list functionality in the Notification Panel as follows:
- add a mouse-over tooltip that shows some minimal "Action" details when hovering over an "Event" in the "Notification Panel".
- add an "on-click" action that would automatically launch the Event log in context! A "right-click" option would suffice.
- perhaps another a right-click to bring up the associated Camera Rule!
All for now, thanks for your time. Happy voting!

Hi Dan Haller,
In the future we will improve our rules engine where we enable you to combine multiple Event and Action in a single rule and I will inform our dev team about this feedback to take this into consideration as well.
