Hikvision DS-2CD2785G0-IZS motorized zoom/varifocal control not detected in NX Witness

Using latest version of Server, Client, and Camera Firmware:
NX Witness Server: 3.2.0.28738
Camera Firmware: V5.5.82 build 181211
This model of camera supports motorized zoom/varifocal. However, Nx Witness does not enable the motorized zoom in the interface (it does not show the + and - and mouse-click-zoom functionality). All other features appear to be enabled and work fine.
Please edit this camera's configuration detection in NX Witness to enable this. Thanks.

try control it from mobile app if it will works; maybe temporarily it is a solution for you.
I found there are multiple models of Hikvision PTZ camera partially integrated;
for example 2DF5286-AEL : zoom can be controlled from desktop software, but pan/tilt only works from mobile app;
and I found at least two others, don't remember now.

Yes. I already have workarounds. However, I would like the problem to be fixed in NX Witness and have it detect the camera features correctly. I need this to work for desktop client users (I already can use mobile/web workaround, but those are not relevant). Can this be fixed?
Developers... Is there a way I can modify the NX Witness SQL Lite database entry to add motorized zoom for this model?

This feature isn't supported, however, if you want this function, you could set up 2 soft triggers, or any other event, with the relevant Hikvision ISAPI call towards the camera to zoom in and zoom out via the 'Do HTTP request' action.

Why is this camera not fully supported in NX Witness? I purchased a batch of them after checking your compatibility list.
Can that feature be added to NX Witness for this camera model, as the camera does fully support motorized varifocal?
Could you please provide more detail on why the feature isn't available in NX Witness?
The LTS model CMIP7883NW-SZ is the exact same camera (from the same Chinese factory) as this HikVision and has working motorized varifical in NX-Witness via its ONVIF profile (even though it's not on your supported list).

Hi Jonathan,
We do not support native zoom control for Hikvision or any of their OEMs.
The Hikvision (PT)Z controls are done within Nx via Onvif. So please check if you can control the zoom function with the Onvif Device Manager (ODM). If this works in ODM, it should work in Nx Witness.
Sometimes it is necessary to enable Onvif since Hikvision disabled Onvif by default in firmware 5.5 or newer. HERE you can find instructions about how to do that.
Given the fact that the LTS model, does work, it is very likely that the Hikvision will work as well, but needs to have Onvif enabled.
