    I cannot comment on LPR cameras however we have a solution for any camera connected to any powered by NX server that does ALPR, vehicle recognition and color recognition. Let me know if you want to connect for a webinar or an on-site demo.

    hi,

    I saw that post regarding the firmware issues.

    The questions was if camera was integrated in DW spectrum, because I found it the hard way the DW Spectrum is not equal with NX.  looks like not everything working in NX works the same in DW.

    Hi Catalin - "DW Spectrum is not equal to Nx." is not really an accurate statement. DW Spectrum is built with Nx Meta VMP, just like Nx Witness VMS. Both are Powered by Nx products. The difference is in what patches / plugins DW chooses to make public / what products they choose to support. So I'd reach out to DW for any additional questions or for patch you may not have access to yet to address the issue.

    so, is not equal, however are you trying to explain it.

    I thought that you are building the DW too, and they only brand it with logo and other.

    As for asking DW I'm ready to bet that I am not going to have an answer from them. I'm still waiting for a support answer for a ticket 5 month old.

    thanks anyway.

    Good morning Catalin,

    So good to hear from you.

    Yes DW Spectrum supports Analytic Events  and HIK analytics will work in DW Spectrum as they work in Nx Witness. Would you like some evaluation licenses to test it out for yourself ? Please let us know.

    In regards to your support request, it was submitted at 7PM and responded to at 11am the next morning. Status was moved to waiting for customer response. Status was closed 3 days later based on non-response. If you require additional information the ticket number is #TSOR00005315.

    I have coped Marc and Steve, who I believe you met with a couple month ago to make sure they are in aware of your post.

    If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email or give me a call at 813-545-9549.

    Have a fantastic day, anyway.

    Patrick

    However, I could use a link to download Spectrum 4.0 beta, some newer version.

    I have 4.0.0.28582, probably a very early version, few very annoying bugs in it, not much use.

    thanks.

    thanks for the link.

    installed just now and I have the same issue with:

    on client desktop, when I start the software everything looks ok, and I am connected to the cloud.

    however, every server I choose to connect to, have like 20, it does connect, but then I am disconnected from cloud.

    have to relogin to the cloud to be able to choose another server.

    it is a bug, or have to do with DW who did not updated the cloud yet?

    Hi Catalin,

    It sounds like a firewall issue.

    Please check the following support article for further troubleshooting;
    https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/articles/115012575748-I-can-t-connect-to-my-system-remotely-Why-

    It doesn't have to do anything with DW, since we deploy and maintain all cloud instances for all our partners simultaneously.

    It's not a connection problem; I can connect to the system

    the problem is, when client restart from v4.0 to v3.x actual server version it is logged off from cloud and I don't have other systems tab available;

    I have to login to the cloud again to be able to switch systems

    Hi Catalin,

    That is a compatibility issue between 4.0 and 3.2 which should be resolved after 4.0 is released. Beta version might act strange sometimes.

    it's ok, I know is a beta and issues might still be in

    as long as you will solve it by the time of official release, I can very well live with it;

    we cannot upgrade all systems to 4.0 so I will have both versions, even at the same of my clients who have multiple systems

    just informally, if possible, are 4.0 be released this year?

    Hi Catalin,

    It is very likely that 4.0 will be released this year. Our dev team is currently finalizing this version.
    After release and upgrading, you still can connect to various builds. The client will switch easily.

    But, that being said. We always recommend upgrading to the latest release when possible.
    And why shouldn't people don't want to? It is free and provides you with bug fixing and tons of new useful features.
