    Hi Jon, and Griffin,

We do not have any plans at this stage.
Also, from our experience, you will never have the smooth user experience when you use 3rd party NVRs as the storage location.

But we offer our storage SDK in the WebAdmin, so in theory, anyone could build some middleware so our software can work with 3rd party NVRs for example.

Also, you could use the Hikvision DVRs as encoders and record the data on DW Spectrum based servers.

    Hello,

How would I be able to add Hikvision NVR as the encoder to Spectrum/NX? I see in the manual that this is possible, but no explanation on how to do it. I tried adding the device by IP and supplying the credentials, but this did not work.

    Hi Igor Nepochatov,

Typically, the NVR will be added to Nx as an encoder regardless if you allow the system to auto-discover it or add it manually. You wrote; but this did not work. Can you be more specific?

The device won't add to the system at all, or it does, but doesn't show as an encoder?

In case it doesn't add to the system at all, you might need to add the Onvif user to the device.

If the device isn't discovered as an encoder, please share a screenshot of the Camera Settings menu, tab General, that reveals the Vendor, Model, and Firmware version?
