I'm wondering if there are any plans for publishing a snap package of the Network Optix Witness software.
A snap package has a lot of benefits relative to installing a package directly on the OS.
One of the benefits are that a snap application can run on different kind of Linux distributions and versions because the snap package contains all the necessary library's etc without the needs of the (shared) OS library's.
I can imagine that this would also create benefits for the developers because you have to maintain only one package.
A real life user case could could be that a desktop user with only a Witness client is not "locked" to the Ubuntu LTS version and can upgrade to the latest release without creating compatibility issues with the NX Witness client application.
