Veracity Coldstore

Does anyone have any experience with Veracity Coldstore in NX?
Good, bad or indifferent experiences?
We have a potential project coming up and Coldstore is listed as an option for storage, approx 175 cameras mix of Analogue and MP.

Hi Tim,
The Coldstore solution works really well with Nx Witness.
There are many projects with Coldstore and Nx Witness, especially in the MEA region where.Obviously, as an Nx employee, I'm biased. So I hope some people (users) from that region will respond to share there experience.

Thanks for the response, is there anything that needs to be done to use Coldstore in NX? or is it used the same way a network storage location that is added through the client?

Hi Tim,
The Veracity Coldstore solution works similarly as adding any external storage solution that is added to the Nx Desktop client, except it requires a plugin that is supplied by Veracity. And be aware, this plugin is Windows only.

This is Tolga from Veracity. I am happy to hear that you want to learn more about Coldstore & Nx witness integration.
Firstly, We deployed several projects with Coldstore and NXwitness and I can assure you both works perfect.
Second, Yes, you should install the Coldstore plugin on server machines. Then, you can easily define the Coldstore path like a NAS storage. All steps are very easy and straight forward. If you would like to learn more about Coldstore feel free to contact Veracity.

Thanks for the info! Unfortunately I have learnt that Coldstore is not available in Australia at the moment.
