Soft Trigger to Disable rules

I would like to see the option of a soft trigger bring able to turn on and off event rules.  For example, the front office goes to lunch leaving warehouse crew the only ones in the building.  We have an event set up for the front door to play a sound in the warehouse when it opens.  We only need that sound when the front office is vacant.  Would be nice to be able to turn that event off and on with a soft trigger.

  It is possible to make it via HTTP POST requests, but it's painful to configure many triggers and rules like that. I'd rather use genuine solution from Nx. I don't see it in 4.0 release. Is it possible to get it in 4.1 release ?
