cameraThumbnail API refresh rate

The cameraThumbnail API provides a snapshot of the live CCTV video every 1 hour. Is this configurable refresh rate configurable? 

The camera we are using is an Axis camera.

  Hi Bryan Chiu,

  There is no refresh rate for that API.  The API provides the snapshot of the timestamp you gave, it is a one time request for only one response, so there is no such rate configuration.

  BTW, the latest API endpoint is /rest/v3/devices/{id}/image , please try to use the latest version thanks.

  Hi Ichiro,

  Thanks for the information. From my observations the snapshots are updated every hour for cameras that are not set to record in the NX Witness software. 

  Is this something that would need to be reviewed with the camera manufacturer?

  Hello Bryan Chiu ,

  There is no guaranteed mode of work for the APIs over the cameras that are not activated using the license channel.

  Whether you need a more frequent refresh of the thumbnails, please use a license and activate the device via the Device Settings menu. In this case by default the thumbnail will always follow the latest timestamp closest to live.
