ONVIF events (motion, tampering, line cross, intrusion etc) support on Network Optix
Hello,
Vicon develops ONVIF compliant cameras that are able to generate ONVIF events generated by on-camera analytics. These events include motion, tampering, line cross, intrusion, wrong direction, object left, object removed etc. Currently Network Optix does not support any of these ONVIF events. It there a plan and timeline to support these ONVIF events? (So I'm talking about plain ONVIF event subscription, not a special driver or API)
Thanks in advance!

You might be talking about ONVIF Profile M, for which there is a thread here:
https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/6023727910807-Onvif-Profile-M-Video-analytics-metadata0 -
Initial support for ONVIF Profile M was added in version 6.1; you can expect to see public announcements about it soon.

We only tested it with several vendors/models/firmwares, though, so actual support also depends on the camera side. Please keep in mind that there is no standard implementation of the ONVIF standard, so sometimes we bump into strange standard implementations on the camera side.
