    Hi Lin Ma ,

With our VMS, you have complete flexibility—there’s no need for server or storage licenses. You can use as many servers or as much storage as you need, completely free of charge.

To keep things straightforward, we offer just four types of license keys:

    • Professional License – For recording devices
    • Encoder License – For recording encoders
    • I/O License – For enabling integrated I/O devices
    • Video Wall License – For enabling Video Wall Client mode (1 key covers 2 monitors)

For your specific setup, you’ll need a license for 80 channels. This can be structured in different ways:

    • 1 license key for 80 devices (recommended for simplicity)
    • 4 license keys for 20 devices each
    • 80 individual license keys for 1 device each (not recommended, too labor intensive)
    • Etc. Any configuration is possible.

The best licensing approach depends on your preferences. Some prefer assigning all licenses to a single server, in which case a single key for 80 devices works best. Others, especially those using two servers for 100% failover protection (which is also included at no extra cost), may opt for 2 license keys for 40 devices each, assigning one to each server.

If you share your location, I’d be happy to connect you with our local team for personalized advice and to introduce you to our authorized resellers.

    Best regards.
