    Hi franco ventorutti,

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the descriptions seem not quite clear to us, so we may need further clarification to assist you properly.

    Current Notification Features
Nx Witness currently supports various notification methods, including:

    • Desktop notifications ( with force acknowledgment ),
    • Text overlays,
    • Alarm layouts,
    • And other options.

These allow users to be notified when an event occurs. The notification is immediately,  and users can review it right away or afterward based on what their practices are. For reference, here is the user manual for notification functions.

    Clarification on “Pop-up Banner”
We’re not entirely sure what you mean by a “pop-up banner.” Could you provide screen captures or additional materials to clarify what you’re referring to?

    • If you are describing a feature intended to replace the notification panel, it seems redundant, as a pop-up banner is essentially another form of notification.
    • If you mean a feature similar to a web page banner that toggles or disappears after a set period, that would also be categorized as a notification. We’re unsure what distinguishes a “banner” from the current notification panel in this context.

However, in either case, this wouldn’t fundamentally resolve a user’s request to avoid relying on the notification column. Could you please provide more specific details, including the exact issue or use case your client is raising? This would help us better understand their concerns and requirements.

    Passive Notifications and External Events
The term “passive way” seems confused. Notifications are only sent when an event is detected, which is standard for “notification” by its nature. Since Nx Witness relies on external systems (e.g., facial recognition software) to trigger events, the detection itself is not performed by Nx but by the third-party system.

Could you clarify what is meant by “passive way” and explain the exact behavior or functionality your client is looking for?

To better assist, please provide details about the specific use case and what your client wants to achieve. Without this context, it’s challenging to fully understand the request or propose a solution.
Thank you, and we look forward to your clarification.

Good morning, what the client requires is:
using facial recognition through Incoresoft, he wants a pop-up notification in Nx.
something that will make the security personnel's attention immediately focus on that monitoring screen.
I hope this is understood, when I say "passive form" I mean that a notification in the notification column is barely visible.

    Hi franco ventorutti,

As we mentioned in previous, you can use the notification system. (For reference, here is the user manual for notification functions). There are a few actions which can fit your case, such desktop notification plus alarm popout (or open a layout).

Here are a few GIF attached to you to have a general idea about the actions , Open a layout and Show on Alarm Layout.

This should be fitting the request - make the security personnel's attention immediately focus on that monitoring screen.

    Thanks.
