About ecs.sqlite
AnsweredI modified ecs.sqlite so that AXIS multi-sensor cameras can be recorded with a single license.
As a result, cameras that I had previously registered in VMS have disappeared, and I'm having trouble.
I would like to know how the contents of ecs.sqlite have been changed.
Also, how can I restore cameras that I had previously registered?

Hi 藤野竜也 ,
If the database has been modified or deleted, you can restore it using a backup. Detailed instructions are available HERE in the in-client manual.
We kindly ask you to avoid making any changes to the database, as this can often lead to issues, as you have experienced.
To resolve this license issue properly, please provide us with a screenshot of the Camera Settings menu, specifically the General tab, where the Vendor and Model names are displayed. This will allow us to provide an proper fix for your request.
Thank you!

Hi Norman
I was able to successfully restore the data from the backup, thank you.
There are two things I'm wondering about when it comes to backups.
The first is, what is the difference between backing up a server with system integration and backing up a server without it?The second is,
(1) System Database
(2) Server Database
(3) Archive Index
(4) Smart Motion Index
(5) Object Metadata
Are all of these stored as backups in the ㏈ file?
Sorry for asking so many questions, please tell me.

Hi Norman
I thought the file created by the automatic backup was 「.db」, so was that a misunderstanding? ?
I actually used it to restore, but...
I'm sorry, that was a really poor way to ask.
I wanted to know if there are any things that the automatic backup can't cover.
The customer wanted to set it up so that in an emergency, they could use the backup to restore everything to the way it was. -
Hi 藤野竜也,
To ensure they can restore everything to its original state in case of an emergency, they could perform a full system backup. This has to be done on the operating system level, and cannot be setup in the VMS.
However, it’s important to note that some data loss is typically unavoidable, as the extent of recovery depends on the frequency of these backups. More frequent backups will minimize potential data loss and help ensure a smoother restoration process, but will require more powerful hardware to handle these simultaneous processes.
Best regards.

If one is making backups of all the different database and index files listed in the aforementioned article, what is the procedure for restoring a nx witness installation in the event of a system rebuild? Would we perform a fresh installation of nx witness and then put the database / index files back into their respective locations? any other steps required?
thanks
