    Hi 藤野竜也,

I hope you’re doing well! I noticed that this topic hasn’t received any engagement from the community yet, and I wanted to check in with you. Is the issue you mentioned still relevant or something you’re looking to resolve?

    Best regards.

    Sure 藤野竜也

By default, when a Device gets disconnected, it will be logged, and it will display a desktop notification.

A text overlay, doesn't work, since it requires a stream for transcoding the overlay, and would be redundant, since it would only display if the device is on the layout, and already will show it is Offline:

In the rules engine, there are various options to set if a device gets disconnected/offline:

    Hi Norman

Thanks for letting me know the default settings. There's something else I'd like you to tell me.
Is it possible to set the notification on the desktop to continue until the user notices it? Ideally, the user would notice that the device has been disconnected whenever they look at it. If such a setting is possible, I would like to know the combination of options.

    Hi 藤野竜也,

The devices' status—online or offline—is clearly indicated in the resource tree on the left panel of the Desktop Client. Additionally, sending an email is a reliable option, as it ensures that a message is sent regardless of whether someone is actively monitoring the Desktop Client, since most people receive notifications for their email on their desktop and/or smartphone.

Ultimately, you can choose the action that best suits your needs. While I can't decide what's best for you, I personally use Uptime Kuma to monitor all my network-connected devices, including my cameras, and it works well for me.
