issue with Bookmark Recording Duration on NX Witness (Dahua Camera Integration)
CompletedHello,
I have set up an NX Witness server on my PC and integrated it with a Dahua camera. I've configured an analytics event to create a bookmark and record a fixed duration of 6 seconds. However, I'm encountering some inconsistencies in recording durations between local storage and the cloud.
- Local Device Issue: On my local device, the recordings exceed 1 minute, even though I’ve explicitly set the duration to 6 seconds.
- Cloud Behavior: On the cloud interface (meta.nxvms), the bookmark duration shows correctly as 6 seconds.
- Download Behavior: While retrieving video from the bookmark via REST API, I'm able to download the correct 6-second clip as expected. Surprisingly, I can also download longer clips (e.g., 2-3 minutes) that merge additional footage beyond the bookmark duration.
Is there a way to ensure the local recording strictly adheres to the 6-second duration set for the analytics event? Additionally, could someone explain why I’m able to download extended video durations from the cloud when retrieving from a 6-second bookmark?
Any guidance on resolving this issue or insights into the behavior would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I hope you’re doing well! I noticed that this topic hasn’t received any engagement from the community yet, and I wanted to check in with you. Is the issue you mentioned still relevant or something you’re looking to resolve?
Best regards.
