secure access to nx witness server

Hello,

1. Which protocol is used between nx witness client and server? https?

2. I understand that the default port for this communication is 7001.

As my server is firewall limited to only access https (443), I tried changing the server port in the server web page to 443, but got an error: "Port numbers less than 1024 are restricted. Server may become inaccessible." and the web page does not let me save the configuration.

Can this be done safely by modifying  /opt/networkoptix/mediaserver/etc/mediaserver.conf?

  Thanks, Norman for noticing!

  Meanwhile, I verified, using wireshark, that the client-server traffic is HTTPS, I also successfully changed the server port to 443.

  From my side, the case can be closed as resolved.
