- Network Topology: 6 NX witness servers in hive
- Special features: Dell Powerscale NFS storage

Reproduction Scenario
I have set the networkoptix user and group uid and gids on both the networkoptix servers and the powerscale to 100000. I have created a mount point below /media, done a chown to networkoptix:networkoptix and chmod 755 on the directory. Both the root and networkoptix users can create files on the mount. Just under half of the 432TB store is available
NX Witness detects the mount but reports that the mode is reserved. Hovering over I in the web interface reports "This storage lcoation cannot be used for recording because it's system storage and there are other larger storage locations available for storage."

this is still an issue. Im also having issues with gid mapping on the storage. We have just updated the storage OS so I will test again in the next few days

I noticed you mentioned NFS. Please be aware that the VMS does not support NFS, but instead supports SMB for external storage. For Ubuntu, the recommended file systems are either EXT4 or ZFS. Considering the volume of storage and the number of servers involved, ZFS is likely the better choice in this case.
