HDD Write speed errors
CompletedSo I have read the FAQ on this error, but I have some questions/comments.
1. On my windows machine I can't see any performance issues with my d: disk at all.
2. I only have 9 cameras recording @ H.264 2592x1944 15fps, so shouldn't be stressing the system.
3. I have two identical storage drives in the machine and one would think the problem would likely be related to the hard disk. I have NX set-up as below, so I assume that it is writing the same content to both drives and currently I only have errors on the d:
Would it then be sensible to swap the main and backup locations around and see if the problem stays with the drive or not?

Hi,
Do you have a RAID Adapter or a virtual RAID in your machine ?

No just basic disc set-up as below.

Ok, and when you look at Resources Monitor on Windows, how many Mbit/s are written on your disks ?

Does this screen shot give you an idea? I have for the moment changed NX to use the e: as the main with analytics and the d: as the backup to see if that changes anything.

The writing bitrate is low... But the available space seems to be short, i.e the previous screenshot, your disks are full...which is explain Nx to warn you.
Go check to Camera Settings in Nx and verify your value for the Max recording. If it's set to Auto, Nx will fill the disks and it will act as a FIFO normally but it seems that the disks don't like it. You can set a manually max recording days.

Yes I had it set to Auto to get the max recording days possible. I have two other servers with identical hard drives and no disk issues. I think I will leave it using e: as the main disk and d: as the backup for a couple of weeks and see what that shows.

Hi Liam,
I wanted to bring to your attention that your disks are nearly full, and there isn't enough reserved space for archive renewal.
You can check the current amount of reserved space on the server page in WebAdmin. If necessary, you can increase it in the Advanced Settings. For optimal archive utilization, we generally recommend reserving approximately 10% of the total disk space.
