QNAP recycle Bin recover files
AnsweredHi team I recently discovered my essential NxW backup QNAP NAS Folder was by default set with a recycle bin. That bin has started filling up and I urgently need to recover all my back up files. I have lifted all the image backups associated with each camera successfully out of the recycle bin. Now I want to know what to do with all the data base files .nxdb in there, that go back a year. What do we do with these where do we restore them too are they needed? Please see the attached image. Thanks in advance - Glen

Hi Glen Hathaway,
The .nxdb is the archive index file, the Nx Server creates the file from time to time.
You do not need to recover the .nxdb file, just conduct the reindex process, and the Nx Server will create (or update) the .nxdb file with the up-to-date archive index.
I bet that you already know this, but here is just a reminder:
When using the NAS for storing the recording files, the recycle bin function must be disabled.
For further information, please refer to this support article: Add NAS Devices (SAMBA).Thank you.
