    Hi Jan v Gestel,

Maybe, it depends on the original manufacturer, and the firmware that is used on the OEM models.

In order to try this, could you open the Nx Desktop Client, and provide a screenshot of the Camera Settings menu, specifically the General tab, where the Vendor and Model details are clearly visible?

Also, please share a screenshot of the window you'll see after you logged in to the device via your browser, this might reveal the original manufacturer, which we need to know for the possible fix.

Once we have this information, we will be able to create a temporary fix, which will be included in our source files once confirmed.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Best regards.

    Hi Norman,

The camera is of the Truvision brand, supplied by Carrier F&S. As far as I know, these are rebranded Hikvision cameras.

    See screenshots below.

    Hi Jan v Gestel,

Based on your request, we have taken the necessary adjustments to ensure that it is fulfilled.

Please follow the steps as described below:

    1. Remove the device from the system.
    2. Stop the mediaserver application and paste the resource_data.json file you'll find through THIS link at the following location:

      For Windows: C:\Program Files\Network Optix\Nx Witness\MediaServer
      For Linux: /opt/networkoptix/mediaserver/bin/

    3. Now start the mediaserver application again.
    4. Add the device again.

To stop and start the media server, please do it as follows:

    For Windows:

Open the task manager, select tab ‘Services’ find the mediaserver application, right-click and select; Stop or Start

    For Linux:

    Open the terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and enter the following command;

    sudo systemctl stop networkoptix-mediaserver.service

    or

    sudo systemctl start networkoptix-mediaserver.service

Could you please confirm that this meets your requirements? Once we receive your confirmation, we will proceed with the necessary updates, and we will be adding it to a future patch.

    Best regards.

    Hi Norman,

My colleague is currently working on it and provided the following.

    It doesn't work, unfortunately...

This is what I find while searching for a new camera:

I tried modifying the JSON file to:
TruVision|TVLP-S01-0402*" en "TruVision|TVLP-S01-0402-BUL-G", But without any result.

When the camera is connected, it appears like this:

I believe the stream must occur via ISAPI. However, even after adding this stream and camera to the JSON, it still doesn't work.

I did test whether the camera supports ISAPI, and it does.

I also disabled one server and added it to another, but still without success. Additionally, I placed the JSON files on both NVRs, but this also wasn't a solution.

The camera is not recognized as a Hikvision ONVIF camera, and therefore the Plugin is not recognized.

    Hi Jan v Gestel,

Could you please enable port forwarding for the camera so we can add the device into our test environment?

If that works for you, I'll go ahead and create a support ticket for this request. This will allow you to share the login credentials securely.

    Thanks a lot!

    Best regards.

    Hi Norman,

The port forwarding has been set up and is working. Could you create a ticket for me so that I can share the information?

    Hi Jan v Gestel,

A ticket has been created for this issue. I'll go ahead and close this topic so we can continue our conversation through the ticket.
