What is the maximum number of cameras that can be registered on one server?

Hi.

We are a partner of network optix, and while testing the product, a question arose.

The operating environment is:
Version: 5.1.4.38659
OS: Windows 11 Pro

 

"The maximum recommended number of cameras per server is 128."
The user manual explains as above.

I used the 'testcamera' program. And I was able to confirm that 200 cameras were registered on one server.

What is the maximum number of cameras that can be registered on one server?

If there is no limit to the number,

PLEASE explain in detail why you recommend 128 units.

  Please take notice of THIS support article.

  That being said, we anticipate, due to improved hardware performance that have been made over time, to increase the number of devices per server to 256 cameras with the release of version 6.0 of our software later this year.
