    Hi Chris Neves,

There is no official-authorized reseller in the US for Nx Witness, however DW Spectrum is, besides, some customization, identical to Nx Witness or any other brand of our software.

I'm not sure what the nature is of the complaints, but please note that you can download Nx Witness / DW spectrum for free, activate the included 4 channels - 30 day trial license, and see for yourself if the software meets your requirements.

If you want to add more cameras to record, let me know, and I'll get you a different trial license, for free of course.

Thanks, I'll look more into DW Spectrum and see if it meets my needs.

I need a hand understanding the encoder license. My plan is to stick with my current Dahua NVR (NVR5216-4KS2) to save on professional licenses. I have some 8mp cameras connected to the NVR. So, if I integrate my NVR with Nx Witness (or DW Spectrum) and record the feeds with encoder licenses, will they record the cameras at 4K? On the Dahua product page, it says my NVR can handle up to 24MP resolution for live view and playback. But on the Nx supported devices list, it says the max resolution is 1920x1080. Does this mean it's limited to recording in 1080p resolution? Sorry, I'm not too familiar with how encoding stuff works.

    Hi Chris Neves,

The resolution is the resolution of the max resolution that has been detected by our system.
So, it is likely nobody used devices with a higher resolution than 1920x1080, however from the VMS perspective, there are no resolution limitations. Meaning, if the NVR is able to provide 8 MP streams, the VMS will record and display 8 MP streams.
