Ticket Submission "Description" Field Adjustments
CompletedThis is the format that the feedback and developer forum uses for posts:
This is the format for ticket submissions:
I think the feedback/forum "Details" input box field should be implemented to the ticket "Description" input field.
Having the option to use code blocks, quotes, and images in the field would make expressing the ticket with clarity much easier. Bold and italics also make it easier to express/identify certain words and values.
Instead of submitting a ticket with uploaded images and referencing them in the text for clarity-
Example:
When testing the I/O trigger from the camera, we can see the camera reports it in its log (see attached 'camera.png')
It also is reported via ODM (see attached 'odm.png')
However the Spectrum event logs don't report the event (see attached 'eventlog.png')
I also couldn't find anything in the server log (see attached 'serverlog.png')
I would be able to instead express what is shown (similarly to the start of this very post with immediate visual context to what was written.)
Visual clarity with bold and italics also helps, not only for clear distinction of specific words/file paths/etc, but (at least for me personally) allows emphasis of how certain words are conveyed and expressed. Internet text-base communications often use bold and italics to stress or de-stress certain words or phrases to insinuate how the expression should be read as an aid to allow the reader to understand as if it was spoken.
Classic Example: "She said she did not take his money"
"She said she did not take his money" - Expresses the importance of who made the statement.
"She said she did not take his money" - Expresses the importance of the action of the subject.
"She said she did not take his money" - Expresses the importance of who made the action of the statement.
"She said she did not take his money" - Expresses the importance of whether or not the action was done.
"She said she did not take his money" - Expresses the importance of the specific action.
"She said she did not take his money" - Expresses the importance of who the action was against.
"She said she did not take his money" -Expresses the importance of the item the action was taken upon.
Each of these are the same sentence, but the introduction of bold text changes the intended meaning of the statement entirely. The same concept can be applied when explaining circumstances within the context of a ticket that was opened. By having the tickets with these functions available, I believe it would make ticket legibility much more clear and provide better communication between the Nx and the ticket submitter.
Admittedly, I'm also a little jealous when I get a response from the Nx team with
"----------------------"
And I can't use it in my response. I love how clean and legible it is, and wish to respond with the same legibility.

Hi Rhaphiel Molinar,
I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, Zendesk's options are a bit limited, but I'll touch base with our Zendesk administrator to see if there's any wiggle room or workaround we can enable.

hi Rhaphiel Molinar ,
We are glad we could resolve it, thank you for pointing this out, otherwise we would have overlooked (the need for) this option for sure.

Hi Rhaphiel Molinar,
Due to various inconvenient side effects, we had to revert to the previous state.
We're working to resolve these, so we can enable the changes back again.
