Hi NX!!
I need some help. How can I open the camera in the Nx Witness Client when a certain event is triggered?

Can you provide examples or guidance?

From a developer who uses Python.

  Hi Zack Huang,

  To open a camera when a certain event is triggered, please do the following.

  1. Open the rules engine in the System Administration menu (Ctrl+Alt+A), tab General and select the bell icon for the Event Rules.
  2. Select the + Add button on the top right to create a new rule
  3. Select the applicable Event, and set the parameters

  Then there are a few options for the desired action:

  1. Select and configure Open Layout in case you want to open a layout which includes the desired camera or,
  2. Select and configure Show on Alarm Layout
