Any changes to Generic Event HTTP requests?

I've noticed that Home Assistant cannot connect to NX anymore. I use HA to send a rest_command which is intercepted NX and then via the rules engine generates a bookmark. 

All that was needed prior is the correct URL ie:

http://User:Pass@IP/api/createEvent?source=Frigate%20Braai%20Camera&caption=Human%20Detection%20-%20Braai%20Camera&description=Bookmark%20event%20for%20showing%20human%20detection%20on%20the%20braai%20camera."

 

Initially, I was getting an SSL issue, so I just set it to "off" as it's all internal. Now I'm getting a 401 "payload none" issue. 

 

I follow the HA changelogs quite religiously, as they change a lot. But have there been any changes in the NX side which could explain this?

  Further investigation. Dumping the URL into the browser thing brings up a user/pass popup. Adding the NX details then pushes the request through. These however are the same details which are posted in the original URL. So why am I being asked twice?

  Hi Calypso,

  You are using basic authentication, while in Nx, since version 5.0, we moved to Bearer Authentication by default, however, you can enable Digest Authentication for a specific user. More details in THIS support article.

  Calypso It's important to know when someone is at the Braai so we can join them! I'm a hemisphere too far so just enjoy without me, champion.

   

  If you have a trigger from NX to HA I'd love to see an example URL please. Would be great to soft trigger a button to activate the driveway lights.

  Thank you, Norman. Ill work through that link, didn't find it before. 

  I S, lol yes braai detection is great. For NX to HA I use Webhooks. Quick and easy, just works.
