User positioned time stamp and Onvif text overlay service

I would like to suggest having a user positioned or configured-- date/time/text --overlay that is scale / rotation invariant integrated with the "Take Screenshot" function. This could allow users to zoom in on a region of interest and take a photo(Screenshot) of that region which includes the camera name plus date-time on the png.

Additionally, exposing / publishing a server side Onvif or Vapix style "Text Overlay HTTP-API" for licensed channels might help facilitate Point of Sale, SCADA and other "text inserter" type features.

Perhaps something like the following pseudo PUT request.

  I realize this is an old question - but those features are now part of Nx Witness. Check out the latest version if you haven't yet.

  Hello Lee,

  Thanks for the great feedback and feature request.  We've added date/time stamp to still and video clip rendering including even sub streams zoomed in with our new zoom window feature.  I'm going to make sure the rest of our team sees this feature request and as we prepare to release a full SDK and API toolkit, we'll make sure this gets in there.
