Upgrading from NX Wittness V1 to V2 API

We used the “/api/ptz” call in our original code, which is now marked as deprecated, and no longer works without enabling it, and comes with an acknowledgement of a security vulnerability. 

1. Is there an API version 2 alternative, I have been unable to find one?
2. Do you have a statement around the vulnerability which can assessed by the customer. .

BTW, I could not find where to enable this feature in the latest client, and yes I googled it, It appears not to be where the docs say it should be.
