Well, I also am looking into this.  I got my hands on a D3110 and using DW 5.1. It was not autodiscovered so I manually added it.   I am getting this error on firmware 11.5.64, if it helps:

FAILED: Camera request "Properties.Image.Format" failed with error "Parameter not found on the camera". Please try to reboot the camera, then restore factory defaults on the web-page. Finally, try to update firmware. If the problem persists, please contact support.

Since there is no camera on this product, I am guessing a change how it is your VMS, DW in my case is detecting it.  Have you opened a ticket to see if support can troubleshoot?

    I'm using DW5.0.
When I try to add D3110 as a device, NX Witness says "NO DEVICE FOUND"
    It will be displayed.

Since the D3110 is the successor model of the P8221, I would like it to
be automatically recognized by NX Witness as an I/O/bidirectional audio
module and be registered as a device just like the P8221, so I would like
to use it in the same way as the P8221. I never opened a ticket to see if support could troubleshoot.

    Norman,

Thank you for the follow up.  We used a different product on the last project because the D3110 is not compatible and Axis has discontinued the P8221.  I have not looked at it again since the newer versions of DW have been released.  So, I am assuming it is still very much relevant as I prefer to Axis where possible, however, I do not have a D3110 on hand to test with because we returned the one I had.

    Thank you,

    Terance

    Hi Terance Gipson (and hideo.nishihara),

If you use the latest build (5.1.1.37512), the D3110 can be used.

Please let me know when you experience any issues with such a device, and we'll investigate it with you.
