NX Client Freezing on Intel NUC
CompletedWe have 2 Intel NUCS that when running on Ubuntu 18.04 and NX v4.2 Client were stable and never needed rebooting, displaying approx 25 cameras each.
Issues began after an OS upgrade (patch), NUC's were requiring occasional reboots, until eventually requiring several per day. During this time the OS and Client were wiped and a fresh rebuild was performed for each machine.
Recently each NUC has been replaced for new i7 NUC's with 4K Dual HDMI support, However these machines are randomly freezing as well, Both NUC's are running 20.04LTS, NX 5.0 Client. The experience is that when walking past and looking at the screen you will see all cameras up, but then realise that the screen is frozen when you see yourself outside as well.
Originally wit the new NUC's you could wake them by moving the mouse, Now a reboot is generally required.
It is also noted that others when spoken to seem to be experiencing NUC Burnout after 2-3 years, ie, after time the NUC generally needs to be replaced as it randomly freezes.
Interested to hear from others regarding the NUC burnout, and also NetworkOptix to what the Client Freezing may be.
