Hi,

Is it possible to let NX Witness client pop up when there is a motion or alarm on a camera?
I’m running the program on my normal work computer and most of the times the program is on the background or minimized. So I want to let the program come to the front if there is any alarm or motion.

  Hi Norman,

  Thank you for your response.
  The question is still relevant. The old software was able to handle the alarms that way and it should be really nice to have this function in NX Witness.

  Hi Dennis de Waard,

  By default, there is no such option, however, you could build a script, for example with Python, to open the client through the command line with specific parameters to open an instance of the client which will behave as a popup. You can use the --acs parameter for that purpose. See also THIS support article.

  However, the most common rule people use is Play Sound, and it might be combined with an action like Alarm Layout, Force Acknowledgement, etc.
