    Hi M van Amelsvoort,

    No known issue at all.

See below a screen recording for 12 streams at once:

    12 Streams

Nx Witness Mediaserver running on an Intel NUC with quad-core Celeron CPU (J3455) and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS server edition.

Nx Witness Desktop client running on my laptop with quad-core i7 CPU (10510U) and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS desktop edition.

    That looks smooth indeed.
I am running the server under windows 10.

Can it be that i am recording external camera’s from my neighbor.
When i connect directly to my own or my neighbors camera’s they run smooth.

So it must be a server thing i am guessing.

I know when there are windows update waiting in line the problem is worst.

    Hi M van Amelsvoort,

All clear. Could you try the following?

Open the Local Settings menu, tab Advanced.

Option 1: Tick the box to Disable Blur. (This is a Windows specific item that uplifts some GUI actions, nice but is not required).

Option 2: Increase the Maximum Live Buffer Length.

    I just changed the settings.

    That didn't help.

Put the Buffer from 500 to 750 didn't help and 1000 didn't help.

Testing after a few days and still doesn’t work well.

Can it be that it is something server related.?

Because when i check with my laptop or true the monitoring pc they all have the same problem with liveviewing.

I know lately there were a lot of windows updates so maybe it’s a windows problem.?

But then more people would have these problems i guess.

    Hi M van Amelsvoort,

    Could you check the following:

    1. Is the issue also appearing when you do a live view?
If yes, please add the camera RTSP stream also in VLC player to see if this makes a difference.
    2. Is the issue also appearing when you view the exported footage?

When looking true RTSP in VLC is is much smoother.

In exported video it is also jerky.

As i remember it started a few weeks ago when Windows did lots of updates.

I am thinking of making a new setup on a old i3 laptop and then on Ubuntu. Maybe that will make a difference.. well i hope it will or else i must check out my complete network. Can there be a trail license for 10 camera be provided. I will try to make a new setup next week. If that works fine i will re-install my server from windows to ubuntu, but first i have to test if this is the problem.

    Hi M van Amelsvoort,

Just send a trial license to you magic email address.
It is quite a mystery, why the image is jerking for me.

Hardware is okay, OS should work, allthough (headless) Ubuntu uses less resources. I doubrt a change would make the difference.

How is the storage arranged? Do you have local storage or NAS storage?
What you could do, if it isolates itself to playback only, is a reindexing the archive. Maybe some corrupted files are bothering you.

Head to the Server Settings menu, tab, Storage Management, and click Reindex Archive.
