Hikvision grey's out sometimes

Hi team,

I am strugling with online viewing true my mobile with a new camera.

I recently installed a Hikvision DS-2CD2386G2ISU/SL and when i want to watch it true my mobile Iphone or on my pc the picture goes grey sometimes.

Settings of the camera are H265+ decoding.

Is this a known issue and can i resolve this.

  Hi M van Amelsvoort,

  Could it be that RTP package loss also occur?

  Grey images in general occur due to missing I-frames.

  Some option to takes are: 

  • Reduce the recording framerate of the camera.
  • Reduce the bandwidth of the camera.
  • Lower the GOP in the camera.
  • Switch from H.265 to H.264.

  RTP package loss is indeed,
  
  I'm going to try the above and play with some settings.
  Will let you know what fixt the problem.

  I have the same problem with a Reolink-Camera. Did you solve your problem? Any solutions?
