    Hi Jeff Jones,

As you describe it, it would be a new feature, but what I would do is create a rule as follows:

    Event = motion --> Action = Bookmark

When the bookmarks are created you can open the bookmark menu (Ctrl+B) and select all bookmarks (Ctrl+A) and export them, or hold Ctrl and click on the desired bookmarks and export them, or click a bookmark, hold Shift, click on another bookmark to select the range between the first clicked bookmark and the last clicked bookmark and export them.

In this way it is fairly easy to export multiple events at once.

Do rules like this only work during the recording process or can they be applied to a section after the fact?  Because I wouldn't really want to create hundreds of thousands of bookmarks on every camera just for the times when we need to export a string of clips.

    Hi Jeff Jones,

This only works for future footage and each motion event will be a bookmark. The bookmarks will be removed at a similar rate as the footage.

    Hi Jeff,

I believe it shouldn't work that way. If you export 1-hour span with, say, 5 minutes total of motion, you should get not 1-hour, but 5-minute video. It behaves for me the same way as it does for you, but it may be a bug we missed in some version.

Will check and get back to you.

    Hi,

I had never tried to export multiple bookmarks from the Bookmark Menu.

Just like @... I had only tried to select the range in the time line, but it would export everything.

What I found was that when I export multiple bookmarks from the bookmark menu (CTRL+B), even if they are all from the same camera I am limited to export "Multi-Video" to a ".nov" or ".exe" file.

After doing that export, I can then go ahead and do another export from that ".nov" file directly to AVI and "voila", I have one single AVI file with only the bookmarks that I selected to export from the same camera.

    Downsides:
     - Have to do it in two steps
     - The AVI file is actually as long as the first and last bookmarks, although the VLC player will skip the empty parts
-> example: I exported two <1 minute bookmarks from different days: my file was 120 minutes long, 3,2MB

I would also be very interested to have this feature. I thought that Rapid Review was exactly this but was a bit dissapointed as it just skip frames... Combining Rapid Review over motion detected only on a user-selected time range would be very convenient.
