Soft Triggers in Resource Panel
AnsweredMake Soft Triggers available in Resource Panel as a separate item (like Web Pages) so that they can be dragged out onto the Viewing Grid and resized for use in creating customizable, touch or mouse-friendly control panel layouts.

Tony, Tuli,
Thanks for the idea.
We considered allowing soft triggers to be displayed in the way of separate objects on scene – https://5sf7fv.axshare.com/soft_triggers_on_scene.html – but it seems to be very complicated and unlikely will be done anytime soon.
As a simpler option we may introduce special camera-like panels which will have only soft triggers:
https://d1kaz0.axshare.com/soft_triggers_item.html
https://6c0o47.axshare.com/soft_triggers_on_scene.html
but for it I also cannot give you any estimates. -
Can you please elaborate on why you think it "seems very complicated'? Seems to everyone else to be very simple and straightforward.
In comparison, adding an icon on top of specific cameras seems far more complicated and more difficult. Continually adding icons on top of cameras also obscures the active video view.

Thanks Aleksandr, Would it be possible to chose where the soft trigger should display? Whether l choose to add a soft trigger on a camera, or on a dedicated "camera like panel"? Currently the soft trigger picks its own spot on top of the camera without allowing me to sort or specify location. It would also be great if I could pick the size of the soft trigger button to display, whether overlaid on the camera, as well as on the dedicated "camera like panel"
Thank you for your considerations!

Tuli,
Yes, it is planned that the soft triggers will be freely draggable and resizable in the same way cameras are.
Right now you can define order of soft triggers by renaming them – they should be sorted alphabetically. For the ability to specify the location other than in the bottom right corner – unlikely it'll be possible, because cameras have many other objects/overlays, in other places, and to avoid them overlapping soft triggers we have to assign them fixed location.

An intermediate solution could be to create a button panel which you can add to Nx as a webpage, but just as it is difficult to create Soft Trigger tiles, some limitations apply to such a button panel, since it has its limitations in resizing the panel.

Norman - Nx Support - I'm aware of the possibilities of developing an HTML button (as you know).
The continual request from the field is to have Soft Triggers which can be added to a layout and used to create control panel-like interfaces. As Tuli Dem mentions above - right now the users have no choice on where the button is displayed in any form other than on camera(s) - and even then they cannot determine the order or position.
